No experience. It seems a bit static to me and uses the inn trope, if Rough Night at Three Feathers was already used will not compare well.

I would change location to a run down playhouse where come back being staged, add in that one of the actors is a lothario and have angry cuckolded husbands, anxious financiers, aging prima donnas, official censors trying to figure out if the local noble is or is not being satirized, a zealot preaching the evils of the theatre and fun events involving them all around. Think any of the old Goldiggers of 1929 et. Musicals meets La Moulin Rouge and Sakespeare in Love.
