Wood Elf Jade Wizard

By rx7kevin, in WFRP Gamemasters

I played the demo A Day Late with a Dwarf Agent, Human Merc and Human Coachman. All of my player are from a Pathfinder group. The Dwarf Agent was kept as an ongoing PC. The other two players opted to create new ones. I have a Barber-Surgeon (love the barber!) from one player. The second played the merc and is also playing a warrior type in Pathfinder. He wanted something different but I did not know how different.

I expressed my apprehension about playing elves. High elves are banned as PC and Wood Elves are extremely xenophobic. We settled on a Wood Elf Jade Wizard. He is to be an outcast of the Wood Elves or some type of political exchange program to the Empire. The outcast part is easy but I am looking for ideas on the political exchange idea, preferable something dark and Warhammery.

The Wizard Box book notes that the Jade College has an interest in stone circles etc. (waystones) and a great mysterious one in the Reikwald which wood elves are also known to frequent/contest with them. At least that's what memory says.

You could spin out of that some treaty/d'etente between the factions - perhaps to prove that Jade magic is trustworthy a wood elf is to master it. This is stil an undesirable/demeaning thing for an asrai to do and so it's an outcast assigned.

BTW, the excellent wood elf fan book is a great resource for anyone playing / GMing wood elves.
