Black Shield Ambidextrous

Hi!
I am new to the Forum and Roleplaying in general, so I apologize, if this turns out to be a stupid question….
I recently got my Hands on the "Rites of Battle" book, and was wandering about the BlackShield Advances. Why can a Black Shield choose the ambidextrous Talent? I now there can be redundancies within different advance tables, but I thought every Space Marine starts with this Talent.

Because the Black Shield table is terrrible. =P

In seriousness, probably for the same redundancy as the Rank 1 General Space Marine Table.

Theoretically speaking, a future alteration to other Space Marine starting options could mean they begin play without ambidextrous. Haven't seen such a thing yet, but if it does exist, a Black Shield version of that would be able to bypass that.
