Ogre career

I play an ogre and I'm almost done with Maneater and had hoped that there who’d been released more ogres career, it has not happened but I've noticed that there are many who make their own careers, so I started to look for everything in the warhammer world that had ogres in and I found firebellies, here is what there they wrote about them:

Firebellies are the roaring, blazing priests of the Ogre deity known as the Fire Mouth. Quick to mirth and anger alike, Firebellies are garrulous and vital individuals who are readily welcome in any Ogre tribe. When a Firebelly's wrath is roused, he can breathe out a cloud of billowing flame so fierce that it can melt through chainmail in seconds. As devoted followers of the Fire Mouth, it's unsurprising that these burning, molten wizards have an intrinsic knowledge of the Lore of Fire. In battle they will blaze a trail through their foes, burning them to a crisp in seconds. Or, if the Winds of Magic are blowing weakly, just hit them with a large hammer instead.

I was thinking that I would use the Acolyte career but with 2 differences, that is the Career Ability, which I think should be that there gutplate armor rating should not make it more difficult to cast spells, the traits but I am unsure witch words and the spells they have access to is bright order
But should the firebelly be created like human mages with many careers or just 1 career that has access to rank 2 spells

I do not know if it can be a good career or whether it just needs to be stopped right away?

My hope for this is that it would inspire people to create ogres career

Sounds like a Bright Wizard, Gastromancy-Style.

yes, The reason for this is that right now, only Humans can use magic, there are no published rules for other races and how they use magic and I can not see any reason that the other races should not be able to use magic

Other races have various different magic-style / types (Ogres have their own, normal Dwarfs use Runemagic, Dark Dwarfs use Fire Magic compined with Daemonology, Greenskins have strange Waaagh! energy, Beastmen Chaos magic, High Elves High Magic, Wood Elves they own way…etc.).

Because nobody has not, yet, done any Ogre careers, I think you could use normal magic careers. Probably Ogres are not as profient magic-users as College Wizards, so career advances should be limited. I might even use Witch and Warlock careers (and Warlock would be the limit).

There are plenty career ideas for Ogres:

  • Tyrant - Higher Tier Warrior-Leader
  • Bruiser - Advanced warrior career (beyon Ironguts)
  • Butcher - Special magic-career. They cast Gut Magic.
  • Bulls / Crusher - Basic Ogre warrior
  • Ironguts - Advanced warrior career (Veteran)
  • Leadbelchers - Ogre "musketeers" (or more likely cannon-men)
  • Maneaters - Ogre Champions

Then few careers that exits fit very well to Ogres. Like Hunter, Mercenary… --> Veteran --> Champion
