Psychic Power: Beastmaster

By TechVoid, in Deathwatch Rules Questions

Hi fellow Battle Brothers,

in The Emperor Protects , there is listed the Profile of Inquisitor Adrielle Quist on page 91.

In the description under Psychic Powers is listed Beastmaster.

Can someone tell me where I can find this power?

Best wishes,

TechVoid.

There are variants in Rogue Trader and Dark Heresy, I think.

Thanks for the reply. And since I thought the description on the back of the book is correct

"A copy of the Deathwatch Core Rulebook is needed to use this supplement"

I did not consider to buy any additional Dark Heresy or Rogue Trader stuff.

Could you please give me a brief description what this Psychic Power is about► I guess it is something like dominating beasts and / or Xenos►

Best wishes,

TechVoid.

Moreover, the psychic power system in all three games is fairly varied, it's harder to drop one power from another system into this one.

That being said, I think there's a thread in House Rules (don't have time to search it out for you) where people were converting powers from the other core systems to Deathwatch. If memory serves (and, honestly? I wouldn't rely on such) the Rogue Trader psyker system is fairly similar to Deathwatch and there IS a thread in the RT forums about converting Dark Heresy powers to that system - including Beastmaster.

Long story short though, it offers telepathic domination oover animals. I think it uses a similar(ish) system to Compel, but that's after not reading the Dark Heresy book for a while and not having it with me (work frowns on that, for some reason :P )

Without books or time available, tis the best I can offer. Hope it helps some.

Thanks a lot.

I think I will simply use compel to make the players attack each other for one round and use the Beastmaster to distract them in advance that Ardrielle Quist can engage them (hopefully) without harm.
