This is my 5th run of this scenario and the outcome always surprises me. This run the party took the bait from Dankmar, felt out the village, delivered the baby, mmet the Druchii, the Druchii had even duped the wood elves, so the party helped him. I had The Tanner already in League with the Druchii so they had a conspiracy going. The Druchii fired up the waystone and then it all went to hell.

The party didn't chase after him. In fact, they didn't even respond until a contingent of druchii and two manticores came towards the gate. They inspired the townsfolk to cover the gate and try to hold it while the Wood Elves ran for help (2 days)..and then the party fled the scene.

A townsfolk had left earlier to inform Dankmar the Bailiff and he was on his way to town with a group of imperial soldiers so the party hid from him and then fled the scene.

I guess there will be much rat-bagging and castrations to be had when that contract-out is completed >

Don't forget to add we cut the rope to the ferry and sent the ferry downstream so Dankmar and the Imperial forces are stuck on the side of the river with the Wood Elves and Dark Elves...

Yeah, with the choices we made our party was "The Doom That Came to Schlaghugel."

Hilarious! The mob shown on the Fortune Pool is obviously looking to lynch the adventurers for their misdeeds.
