A deck idea (that need´s much tuning)

By Trix Spike, in Call of Cthulhu Deck Construction

Hi there, fellow crazies and cultists.

Was putting my cards in to a binder and while going through my Yog-Sothoth part, i came across these cards:

Character
The Betrayer (SotM)
Reclaimed Servant (TBJ)

Support
Things in the Ground (SoA)
Prism of Many Views (TTB)
Dark Sarcophagus (NN)
Blackmoor Estate (Core)

Event
Domestic Sacrifice (TTftS)
Curse of the Stone (TWB)
Ritual of Bellephar (IT)

Pretty sure i am not the first one to get this kinda idea, but it seemed kinda cool.

And the question follows, has there been a viable deck around these cards and if not, would you be willing to help me build a deck around these cards?

Much obliged.

I assume from your card choices that the intent is to have the opponent empty their deck so you can win with the alternate win condition.

One thing you have to consider is how you are going to stop the opponent from winning through stories before their deck is emptied. What if you are up against a rush deck full of investigators? They could win on turn 3 if you don't have a way to stop/slow them down.

Very true. Will have to work on idea little more. But definately will include some of those cards in my coming deck.

Here's an example for a milling deck that I used to playtest my decks against:

Total Cards (50)

Story (0)

Character (27)
Cannibal Ghast Core x3
Faceless Abductor TOotST x3
Guardian of the Key SftSK x3
Many-angled Thing TGS x3
Evolving Shoggoth IotF x3
Hermetic Scholar SoA x3
The Large man TSS x3
Flying Polyps TSC x3
Yog-Sothoth SfW x3

Support (8)
Prism of Many Views TTB x2
Terrors in the Dark SoA x3
Things in the Ground SoA x3

Event (15)
A Single Glimpse Core x3
Calling Down the Ancients SoA x3
Curse of the Stone TWB x3
Speak to the Dead WitD x3
Opening the Limbo Gate Core x3

I think this deck is an older version of the following: www.cardgamedb.com/index.php/CoC/cocdecks.html/_/coc-decks/abeyance-oblivion-r29

You may want to check out some of the other decks over at CardGameDB, iirc, there's at least one other deck that focuses on milling.
