Wound Threshold

By Rennrh, in Deathwatch Rules Questions

Narthecium: "It also raises the Threshold at which the patient is considered Lightly Damaged to 3 times his Toughness Bonus, and doubles the amount of damage healed by first aid."

Ran into this during our last game. A DW PC has a TB of 8 and Wounds of 22. According to the statement above, the DW PC is considered lightly wounded up to 24 Wounds (3*8=24).

How would this be interpreted since the DW PC only has 22 wounds?

In this situation when the person with the narthecium is treating the character, if they don't have any critical damage, they count as lightly wounded (down to 0 wounds). If they have taken damage beyond their wounds they are criticaly wounded and follow those rules.

That's what I thought. Thank you for the confirmation!
