So what can we expect?

By guest308838, in Only War

I predict the following books in this product line:

• Only War: Core Rule Book and description of a crusade in a new sector: The Hallelujah Sector?

• Only War: GM screen

• This means war: free DLC adventure

• The Old Guard: Famous regiments of the Imperial Guard

• We need more men: How to create your own Guard regiment

• Sing Hallelujah: An in depth view of the Hallelujah Crusade

• The Face of the Enemy: Enemies & opponents of the Hallelujah Crusade

• Heavy Metal: vehicles of the Imperial Guard

• The Omdurman Gambit: A three-part adventure in which a handful of guardsmen must save the sector from a catastrophic fate.

Did I get them all?

Yeah I thnk so. but I would think that the We Need More Men-rules will be in the same book as The Old Guard, similar to Deathwatch's Rites of Battle.

Hmm...

I think that "How to create your own regiment" and Vehicles will be included the Guardsmans Handbook to Sector Hallelujah (not Primer, because it has been used by BL), the more homeworlds + items + more interesting stuff + new careers/species (Ogryns and Ratlings) book in the likes of Inquisitors Handbook, Into The Storm and Rites of Battle (provided that vehicles aren't in the core).

And then the Tannhauser Trilogy , three books which are quite well written but still quite railroadish bunch of somewhat interlinked adventures in which a handful of guardsmen must safe the sector from catastrophic fate again .

After Tannhauser Trilogy has been published separately they then will be repackaged into a Buy The Trilogy In One Go! book with nice covers.

I also hope that we might see the book where you can finally play an Eldar Ranger / Corsair! obliviously it will be in an adventure book, named, lets say The Pandora Project, in which a handful of guardsmen must safe the sector from catastrophic fate... How did I get a deja-vu?

Whoah, the amount of sarcasm in this thread..

Close, but not close enough. happy.gif

We'll actually be getting a Commissar's screen, and by the mandate of the majestic God-Emperor, it will be the Commissar's duty to weed out pathetic, cowardly and unfaithful players. TPKs will be part of the rules I'm hoping.

Didn't show up for a game? You're dead.

Fleeing from battle? You're dead.

Hesitating in battle? Don't bother, start rolling a new one.

Sneaking my last beer from the fridge? You're dead, and so are your next 5 characters.

Of course a commisar is as mortal as the rest of us isn't he?
What do you say Commisar? You need help with those three Orks? Whoops look at the time.....

The smart Commisar player remembers the lessons from the hero Commisar Caine.

Hopefully some of the signature vehicles (Leman Russ, Chimera, Valkyrie Sentinel, etc.) in the Core book. Saving the Baneblade (and variants) and the super heavy artillery for the equivalent of the Inquisitor's handbook/Rites of Battle supplement...along with the abhuman templates and more specialised paraphenalia commonly in use by the IG.

Would also like to see some antagonism from the Adeptus Munitorum plaguing the squad, accounting for requisitions and wasteful use of imperial resources.

Why the Commissar's screen? I'd rather take the peaked cap + bolt pistol. THAT would make GM get proper authority happy.gif

GM:"Are you suggesting that I am not a good GM?"

Player:"Well, uh, to be hon...."
