Since exceptional MIUs grant bonuses "when interfaced with MIU systems" (DW page 178) my techmarine ist interested in equiisitioning MIU interfaced wargear. it comes down to how much. But so far I have not found anything referring to "additional costs" or similar entries in the rulebooks.

I've taken different approaches to MIU interfaced weapons in my old and current Deathwatch campaigns.

1. Weapons of exceptional, master-crafted or relic quality are compatible with MIU systems. I decided upon this because MIU increases the complexity and required maintenance of wargear and thus should be reserved for those few weapons of sufficient quality to warrant the extra effort. Techmarines' time is not unlimited after all.

2. Restrict MIU interfaces to a character's standard wargear as those are his weapons to modify. He will have to spend extra time maintaining the weapons. Requisitioned weapons are not his to modify and unless they specifically have a MIU interface already are not to be changed.

Don't forget about vehicles...

Many of the more complicated vehicles could have an MIU jack, I could most certainly imagen a Land Raider or any kind of Speeder.
