Witch Hunter Adventures..a whole bunch

By Emirikol, in WFRP Gamemasters

I'm gearing up for my next campaign and am always on the hunt for easy-on-the-GM scenarios that are well-playtested and rife with potential misery for the players. Whilst on my search, I came across the shared world campaign scenarios for the Witch Hunter RPG. They appear adequate for wfrp adaptation (or original system use) and are designed to be run in 4 hours (convention time). darkprovidence.net/Adventures.html

Thoughts?

Along this same discussion, I'd like to state that I really enjoy when companies put out scenarios and pre-gens to play their games. There's nothing worse than when a game comes out and maybe has a really cool system, but no scenarios. A good example of this is Savage Worlds. They put out all these worlds and then NOTHING for convention scenarios (ok, maybe one), but that's it.

In this circumstance above, there's like THIRTY free download scenarios that the company is encouraging people to play at conventions (which grows their player base). Better yet, those above follow the old RPG "living play" model (only hybridized with the old "classics" benefit of better depth of roleplay), which not only encourages play..but repeat play!

Other companies that do this

Paradigm: Arcanis
Paizo: Pathfinder
Wotc: D&D..of course LFR is getting the axe when 5e gets barfed out.
(bunches)..etc.

I think we've brought this up numerous times on these boards, but I have to ask, "wouldn't it be nice if we had 30 free wfrp3 download scenarios for convention or home play in a standardized format like those above?" Witch Hunter is a tiny-audience game, and yet it has all that support. It makes me wonder what WFRP 'could' be.

Quite a nice list. I have watched some of the Szenarios and they could be easily used/converted.

Puritans -> Sigmar, Calvinists -> Shallya. Deamons are Deamons and witches are witches. Everything else is "Sleepy Hollow" and that is quite Warhammer like.

By the way, your houserule link doesn't work anymore.

Hey, all my griping has paid off! We now have a 30 night campaign! Albiet it's a reproduced campaign from earlier, but it was what I was asking for!

Until then, I guess I'll be playing these scenarios :)

My house rulebook link will be back shortly after I finish it up for our upcoming campaign.
