Signature Wargear

By usnbajula, in Deathwatch Rules Questions

I know that there alot of threads about this but none that i have read can answer my questions. Please help me clarify.

1- How many times can a player take Signature Wargear at Rank 1 (For their initial 1000 xp can they take this twice)

2- If they only take it once but after a couple missions they improve there renown and would like to take a better weapon that they could not have gotten before could they repay and switch their signature wargear. (A tactical marine pays for a flamer as signature with his initial 1000 xp and then after a few missions he becomes respected can he pay another 500 to replace his flamer with a stalker pattern bolt gun as his Signature Wargear?)

The way I am understanding it is as follows;

Rank 1 the player can have 1 piece of signature wargear and he is stuck with it until rank 2

Rank 2 the player can either upgrade his previos signature wargear or replace it but he still can only have 1 until Rank 5

Rank 5 the player can have a 2 pieces of signature wargear 1 w/ req 20 and 1 w/ req 40 until Rank 7

Rank 7 the player now can have 3 pieces of signature wargear 1 w/ req 20, 1 w/ req 40 and 1 w/ req 70

I know at Rank 4 a techmarine may pay for artificer armor if he is distingushed.

I am not sure if i am understanding this right or not. Thanks for the input ahead of time.

Outside of Elite Advances, that is correct. However, offering Elite Advances on Signature Wargear (pay a little extra, get an extra Sig. Wargear.) is far from unheard of.

Cool, Thanks for the input.

In my game and because i'm fine GM it could happens from time to time that i offer the signature wargear talent for some heroic feat done by a player.

It's an other way to give your player a fine reward he can choose.
