3e Campaign Report - The Rise of Chaos (Atlanta)

By CodexofRome, in WFRP Gamemasters

Played the second session of the campaign yesterday, bringing to a close the first adventure of the campaign. The campaign log and other information are on Obsidian Portal. Five players for this session, including an assassin, alchemist, troll slayer, witch hunter and bright wizard. Missing were the Runesmith and Dockhand.

It may just be my GMing style, but five at the table was a hand-full. And they made short work of my prepared encounters, which ran the gamut of the undead. I improvised a lot. For example, I had a crypt ghoul, but they'd made such short work of the zombies, I made it three crypt ghouls. One of the characters threw a light stone (stone with a light cantripped on to it) into their lair, and I changed gears again... the shambling crypt ghouls because quick, agile green monkey-like man-sized creatures with wild grey hair. One ran off with the light stone, and the other two jumped down on the witch hunter and the wizard who were at the back of the party.

It was nice to see how quickly the two experienced players who'd never played Warhammer picked up the system.

Oh, and FFG? I'm willing to pay nicely for some utilities like those D&D guys get from WotC.
