Anyone have a good resource for crime and more specifically, the "norm" punishments, legal or otherwise, that are associated with those crimes in Warhammer. Reikland is the area specifically but it doesn't have to be specific to that area.
Crime & Punishment
In one of the 2nd edition resource books I have is some text about this stuff. very good as I remember. But I have to look when I'm at home. Maybe I have some time during the weekend.
The 2nd Edition Sigmars Heir's had a section called 'Crime and Punishment' which covered Imperial Law, Provincial law, Travelling Judges etc. It was a short section so only gave a flavour of the types of law and courts that appear in the Empire

Yeah, great book, take a look at it pages 27 till 32.
Second edition The WHRP Companion has a section of an article about Advanced Rules for Trials, check it out as well: page 67 till 70.

You could also try Liber Fanatica 8, that has some stuff on law and criminals, and it's free!. Lure of Power has some info as well but is not free
Lure of Power for this edition also has information on the Empire's legal system.
I wouldn't worry too much about exact sentances etc., nobles slap on wrist, peasants to the stocks or worse. Drama dictates outcomes.
And Empire Law is a mess. Bizarre social hierarchy, feudal with bourgeoisie, every noble can dictate a law, the Emperor, town councils... The Empire has 2500 years of concflicting laws adding up. So I would go as valvorik says.
I do usually just make it up as I go. I was interested mainly to get a better understanding of the setting for myself.
Thanks for the book ideas.
Rikard Fjellhaug wrote a nice piece for Liber Fanatica VIII
