Smite!

By JMorgenroth, in Deathwatch Rules Questions

Quick question about what the concensus is on how smite works. When the rulebook says that inflicts damage equal to "1d10 x PR" does this mean:

the result of one d10 roll multiplied by PR

or a d10 per PR

For example: A PR 3 Librarian uses smite. Does he roll 1d10 (getting a 5), and do 15 damage? Or does he roll 3d10 and calculate the total?

Page 9 in the Errata, in the FAQs section:

"Question: Where the damage is listed as 1d10xPR, is that 3d10 for a Psy Rating 3 character, or 1d10x3?

Answer: 3d10."

So back to example that means, he does not roll a d10 and multiply the result by three. Example he gets "5" and multipled by PR of 3 it becomes 15 damage. He has to roll 3 separate d10s. Hope this helps.

Also keep in mind, folks, that Smite only affects creatures. Can't smash a Tau Hammerhead with Smite.

Great info, thanks!
