confused with rolling to hit with multi shot guns

By Wolf Priest Ranek, in Deathwatch Rules Questions

I couldn't for the life of me find it in the rule book though I'm sure it's there my question is: if a gun fires multiple shots do you roll to hit for each shot and if you do and you are firing full auto can you gain extra hits on each shot?

Thanks for the help.

You role to hit once, then the number of times you hit is determined by the number of succeses you role, on hit for every on or two succeses, up to the weapons maximum number shots on semi- or fullauto.

There are four basic shooting attacks:

-Standard Attack

-Semi Auto

-Full Auto

-Called Shot

Two weapon wielding is a bit more specialized so I'm not going to get into that.

Characters can only make one attack per turn (specifically, can only take one action with the attack subtype).

The standard attack is a single shot. When rolling to hit, you roll once, and only fire once. If the weapon does not have a single shot firing mode, you cannot use this attack.

Semi Auto rolls once at a +10 bonus, and gets one hit on the initial success, and one more hit per every two degrees of success after that (up to the number of shots fired)

Full Auto rolls once at a +20 bonus, and gets one hit on the initial success, and one more hit per every degree of success after that (up to the number of shots fired).

Called shot rolls once at a penalty (-30 I believe, could be wrong), and if successful hits a specific target on the body.

For all other shots, reverse the single die roll (79 becomes 97), and compare it to the hit location table.

No matter what though, on any given attack, you only roll once for the weapon. This is to streamline the system.

Thanks a lot this is really helpful to know.
