Power weapons, parries, and natural weapons

By Charmander2, in Deathwatch Rules Questions

So the power weapon section pretty clearly states that if you parry with a power weapon succesfully against a weapon that doesn't have this bit of the profile, you have a 3 in 4 chance of destroying your opponent's weapon.

While I have no problem when dealing with heretics or a CSM wielding a chainsword versus a power sword, something feels...off about it when used against natural weapons. It seems out of place for a Space Marine to simply parry against his Tyranid Warrior opponent and lop a couple of his arms off.

Is there a rule I'm missing on this or something I'm misreading, or does the RAW really mean that I can charge a Hive Tyrant and simpy parry in order to reduce the number of attacks he gets every round?

Power Field (p.143) explicitly states "Weapons with the Warp Weapon Trait and Natural Weapons are immune to this effect."
