False Pretenses scenario with the Kids

By Emirikol, in WFRP Gamemasters

I just played the fan scenario, False Pretenses, with the kids (8, 5) with the following modifications:

* Had them hired in the beginning rather than extorted into service
* Instead of having the boatmen burnt at the stake, I had them tarred and feathered (and the wood elves threaten to tak eall your stuff, put you in funny clothes and send you donw the river in a canoe so people laugh at you)
* Other typical theme softenings for kids

I encouraged them to watch for the Druchii as he dug his way into the mound. They tracked him into the lands of Naggaroth, but I had them "get him" before he could get his friends to come back. They hired the blacksmith to put steel over the gate and I had them find the priestess to make "magical glue" to hold it there.

Twas fun.

The way you described it, I would like to be player in this adventure :)

I just ran it again for two 10 year olds. Scout and Apothecary were the characters. They skirted combat all together and caught the druchii by surprise by pulling a backpack over his head, then they had the blacksmith make a jail to hold him.

Make believe is so intuitive for these kids!
