A new use for fortune point: avoid a critical and gain weapon/armor damage instead

By Emirikol, in WFRP House Rules

Critical hits on a PC:

PC can use a fortune point to opt to have the appropriate weapon (parry), armor (dodge or no defense), shield (block) gain damaged condition instead of gaining a critical (it remains a normal wound). Multiple conditions can be gained. Cost to repair is percentage of DR/defense reduced.

Really cool idea, will probably make the "damaged" condition see regular use. :)

Seem like a cool idea, but I think the cost is too much for just negating one critical wound.

Maybe add to it lowering of damage, or it would prevent you from being knocked unconscious.

I like the overall idea, to be favored by fate and slip away from grievous wound.

The primary idea of this was to allow PCs to use up money. For parry, it's the equivalent of a healing draught. For armor, that's expensive..which may encourage players to not bother with the heavy crap..or just take their blows :)

One thing that I worry about in these campaigns is the amount of money build-up by PCs.
