Sorry if this thread is a repeat: I can't find anything using the forum search.
I'm introducing the game to some first time ever role players. They understand the basics of RPGs and all that so the CONCEPT is understood.
What I'm looking for are any tips and/or suggestions on how to best approach introducing the system itself. The dice, action cards, all that in a gradual and easy to follow manner.
To avoid too much confusion and risking overwhelming them with character creation, I've gone ahead and made pre-generated heroes for them (well balanced quartet of fighter/tank, intellectual/leader, social/healer and ranger/archer).
So yeah, if any of you have done something similar, what worked well?
EDIT: Setting-wise, I'm placing them all in Middle Earth. They're all Tolkien fanatics, so I decided to just go with that setting. Not a big deal, just helps with immersion and making the whole thing more approachable.
