Maze Rules (using a customized deck of cards)

By cogollo, in WFRP House Rules

Hi, I wrote a post in the Deathwatch forums about rules for running maze encounters using a deck of cards (although I also had Warhammer 3rd in mind while writing them).

I'll use these rules for encounters in sewers, tunnels, deep forests, etc. I have used Strange Eons to create the cards.

Because I do not want to repeat myself, I leave here a link to my Deathwatch post, in case you are interested: www.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_foros_discusion.asp

This is awesome! Thanks for doing these...I"ll definitely find a use for'em in the next phase of my campaign....I'm gonna have my players explore the ruins of Castle Drakenfels, and I can definitely use these for the labyrinth like tunnels beneath the castle proper!

Any chance of creating a set for the Reikwald forest exploration/encounters? If not I may use your template to mix up a batch.

Thanks for the kind words.

As for creating new cards, at the moment I'm focused on Deathwatch as a GM, and D&D4 as a player (sigh! I would much prefer playing Warhammer 3rd, but haven't found anyone willing to GM where I live, though I have run a couple introductory scenarios already).

As soon as I get back to Warhammer I'll try to think new cards. If anybody likes the idea, please publish also any new cards you think about.

By the way, I have posted a couple of examples for using the Maze cards in my preparations for the Deathwatch scenario "Final Sanction". If you follow the links I've posted, you'll find the examples (they are the last couple encounters in the preparations for the "Lordsholm Burns" chapter).
