I still have no idea whether I'm going to be able to make the trip or not. Hoping to return the favor from y'all coming down to Motor City Regionals.

Considering red-eyeing it out East Friday night to partake in the Saturday regionals, would stay in Oshawa Saturday night and jet back to Calgary early Sunday morning.

Questions:

Any eyeballs on the probable attendance? Just curious how many folks I could potentially meet, or if any noticable names won't be there for whatever reason.

I assume a handful of the players will have recently played in the Montreal regionals. Are there any results/<details of that event> posted (I can't find any yet but maybe I am blind) so that I can get a feel for the meta and arrive ready to witness any epic rematches from the week before?

Hey Dut, its Kin here, there are some brief info/results in the Tourney Report Forum, check that out. Excited to know that you are coming over. Will be expecting you. From the last 2 regionals I entered, the usual suspects are Gill (Order), ChunLi (Air) or (Air/Water), Victor (Multi-symbol), Akuma (Evil) or (Evil/Fire), Seong-Mina (Order)... I will be expecting to see lots of Spikes, Ira-spinta, or loops...

We have 4 from Rochester, NY coming. Hopfullly more post just to get an idea of numbers,

@ Decks don't matter: The two character cards you mentioned, Ninon** Revenant** will be legal as they have been already released

Congrats on the 2nd place finish in Montreal, seems like it was a tough competition between you and your drive-down mate, Shajir, in the finals. (and grats to him on 1st!)

I'm confirmed to come (booked myself the things I need) as I have been looking forward to meeting more of the Eastern Canadian crew for some time now, and I convinced a couple of my playgroup to do the Invitational with me mid-April so I might as well get some regional practice under my belt before then

I'm not really sure what I will run though... I usually go with unknown characters that rely on hard to pull off techs with a lot of defense and counter control to pull off said techs - but, I might just have to go with one of 'the usual suspects' if I don't have time to brainstorm something up for you Easterners. If I do, don't worry, I will add some personal flair to it ^^

Spoke to the store manager, and boxes will be divided up in put into the prize pull so that you get a bang for your buck. Obviously more for the top winners, but it will be filtered down to the lower ranks aswell. The more players there are, the more prizes that will be available.
The cost remains at $20.

Right now, 4 of us from Montreal will be there. That would be me, Charles, Shanda and Nathanial.

There could be a fifth one added depending on whether he wants to go.

For all those comming from out of town and are in search of food there are many places nearby which are easily accessable for breakfasts.. Just hope to see you all there...

Andre Picknell won the event with fire evil akuma, i'll post more in the morning when im not tired...

Gotta say T8 from yesterday was very interesting (Well except for seeing a Chun-Li, a Akuma, and a Kin in T8). Even had a Hatman sighting in it... Aggro was running around and if people think Control is the End All Be All of block 3.. You've got a few really big surprises comming.

Just wanted to thank Shajir, the Oshawa crew, Worlds Collide and it's owners/operators, and everyone who attended officially in this thread The trip from Calgary was well worth it. For a quick chronicle of my trip and the run down of my matches please look in the results topic board.
