Magnitude and ranged attacks

By Mormacar, in Deathwatch Rules Questions

According to the rules (I found nothing about this in the errata):

A Horde may make ranged attacks equal to the first digit of its Magnitude.

For very small or very large hordes this would becomes weird. The first digit of 9 is 9, the first digit of 100 is one.

Funny if you ask me. It seems in a small horde the individuals becomes more motivated, in a large horde the hinder each other lengua.gif .

Someone mentioned this before. Its indeed a poor wording, but I imagine you understand the spirit of the rules. If you are still having issues with that, then consider this rewording:

"To determine the amount of attacks a horde can make, remove the ones digit from its magnitude."

minimum 1 I'd assume.

Well that should be worded in there anyway.

I think technically, as its written now, a mag 9 horde has 9 attacks too, which is part of the problem.

Its drop the ones digit, minimum 1 attack.

Should go into an errata update.
