Can units move diagonally into and out of structures?

By felkor, in Dust Tactics Rules Discussion

If the entrance to a structure is not the full width of the square, can a unit enter or exit from the diagonal, or can you only enter directly from the single square adjacent to the doorway?

The geneal consensus seems to be that infantry can't move diagonally through a small entrance. If it blocks LOS, then it should block movement as well.

Thanks. That's how we played it today, but I wasn't sure. Is it in the rules anywyhere, or just by "general consensus"?

It's not spelled out in the rules, unfortunately. They really could have gone into a bit more detail where buildings are concerned.

Yeah, between that and artillery, and the strange instance with the Victory Bridge campaign where you have a walker locked instead a structure, they seemed to have really missed a lot.

Oh well - as I'm the only one I know who owns the game, when I play it with friends, whatever I say rules-wise goes anyway. :-) I'll just play the way I like until they come out with official rulings on these things.
