Question regarding equip phase and equipping

By ravenkrus, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark

Hi, I have a few questions.

1. Hero's turn is composed of Refresh , Equip , Take an action. Does the second phase lets you equip for free? ie without using movement points?

2. In re-equipping mid action, it will cost you 2 points. How does it work? is it a swap of the current equipment that you have and the one in your backpack? or un-equipping will cost you 2 and equipping the item in your bag will cost you 2?

3. If someone gives you an Item, for example an armor, and you're wearing none yet, is it automatically equipped or will it go in your pack?

Thanks in advance

This Equip action is free, yes. The hero can freely shuffle anything and everything he's holding as long he winds up with a legal set of equipment.

It's 2 MP for a complete shuffle, as above.

Whenever a hero receives a piece of equipment, he may immediately equip it, moving any previously equipped item(s) to his pack in order to make room. Note that this does not allow him to change up other equipment besides the thing he just got and the thing(s) which must be unequipped to allow that item to be equipped. This is true no matter where the item came from - whether it came from a chest being opened, another hero (or ferret) passing the item to him, or some other quest-specific event. Whenever the hero gets a new item, he has the chance to immediately equip it.

Also keep in mind that a hero only has three slots for items in his pack. If he can't hold everything, he has to start dropping things. Things which are dropped are irreversibly destroyed as soon as they hit the floor. (Except for relics, but they rarely get dropped anyway.)

Thanks mate... very helpful...
