i had just started running my group through Eye for an Eye and my players were at the inn where they met Hendrick. After meeting Hendrick and being told to show up in the morning, the Ironbreak told the Slayer (arg, two meat-head dwarves) that he should show off his magnificent alchohol capacity and maybe make a little coin as well.
I used a progress tracker and had the participants (slayer and six locals) do a fortitude test for each drink, as well as adding a challenge die for each consecutive mug they drank. As the contest progressed, the ironbreaker attempted to intimidate contestants into messing up as well as actually hitting the chair of one while he was drinking. eventually, the slayer was victorious, but not after using all his fortune points to help his rolls out and still almost losing to an enormously fat tavern goer. the ironbreak (the slayer's rememberer) then composed the first chapter in the saga of Axekaraz... the challenge of the seven. was a lot of fun coming up with competitors as well as figuring out the challenge level of each drink and coming up with entertaining explanations for each persons failure.
