OK, Magnus's Tower in Ubersreik. With a 6-foot long horn for an alarm. And yet in the accompanying illustration, in the picture of the town (where the tower itself looks about 200 feet high), and on the location card, some bizarre monstrosity of a thing about one hundred feet long. I'm all for artist licence, but this is ridiculous ...!
What's with Magnus's Tower?
I think so too. Pictures create more memorable images in players' heads so I ended up not to show the image to players. I think it could be shown as an example of "how the people of Ubersreik describe the horn to outsiders" but it's still pretty thin.
Mainly I end up using old B/W pictures from Fighting Fantasy books or WFRP1 anyway as they go along with how I imagine the Old World. The new Magic the Gathering set, Innistrad, gives pretty good looking pictures too!
Perhaps the horn of Magnus' Tower calls RICOLA! RICOLA!
