RTL & Grappling Glyphs

By any2cards, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark

We are playing dungeon #8 in RTL. One of the minion groups that can be selected includes a master Naga. In addition, there is a central area of the board which contains 3 white doors and a red rune door, making an area surrounded by the 4 doors.

The Overlord has placed the master Naga within this "room" as one of his initial placements. So far so good. 2 squares outside of the door is an unactivated glyph.

The heros proceeded from the starting glyph, and were able to activate the glyph outside of the door on their first turn.

On the Overlord's first turn, he opened the door outside of the glyph with another minion, and moved the Naga next to the activated glyph. He then killed 2 of the heros before his turn was done.

Here is the issue: 1 hero can come back from the temple to the glyph outside the door, but is instantly grappled. Any subsequent heros (including the other one killed on the first turn) appears not to be able to use the same glyph, as he would also be grappled, and unable to move from the spot within which a hero already resides.

The Overlord states that this is a perfectly acceptable tactic. The heros disagree. They feel that the Overlord is creating an impossible situation, which has been expressly forbidden in the FAQs. The Overlord says that we either have to kill the Naga with whomever comes out on the glyph, or we have to use the original starting glyph. While the heros do understand the Overlord's position, they feel that this move is violating the spirit of the rules, as there should never be a situation where the Overlord can prevent hero's from using a glyph.

Grapple
A)Is a hero with Grapple really intended to keep 8 creatures in one place?
B)Can a fiendly figure move through a space occupied by another friendly figure that is currently being grappled?

A) Yes. B) Yes. Grapple can only hold one figure per space , however.
