Now that we've got an initiate of Ranald in the party, I've got a chance to try out the expanded Omen rules from LF7 and Sign's of faith. Although I 've only handed out two, it's been neat having something else going on. The premonitions about the future have been useful for me to foreshadow future events in a scenario, in a meaningful roleplaying way, to the character. The most recent scenario was "Worse than Disease" and since all the PCs are larcenous characters (ranald initiate, grey wiz, charlatan), it was quite a neat timing.
First was the "Premonition" effect, so I used a series of unusual cat/feline activity (like the deja vu scene in The Matrix) inside/around the manor house.
The second one was ironically an "auspice" effect, so I added a rather humorous section on cats eating and licking birds prior to the demon scene
