Utterly confused about how Unnatural Agility & Initiative interact... Please help!

By LETE, in Deathwatch Rules Questions

Hiyas!

Any kind soul could answer please?

I'm utterly confused about the way a being w/the Unnatural Agility Trait rolls for Inititative - what get's modified, if anything (how do they interact)? Couldya help me w/this? What do I add, what do I multiply? Do I even? Does this Trait (Unnatural Agility) even factor in?

Thanks!

L

The Initiative roll is the character's Agility Bonus + 1d10. So someone with 60 Agility and Unnatural Agility (x2) would have an Agility Bonus of 12, and thus his Initiative would be 12+1d10. Not that other talents such as Lightning Reflexes or Paranoia also modify the Initiative roll.

Redemption is completely correct.

I would add, on a related note, Unnatureal agility does not modify a creatures movement. This is stated in the Unnatural Characteristic description. Unnatural agility may double your base agility bonus for purposes such as initiative but your movement is still only your base agility bonus. Unnatural agility with 60 agi = 12 agi bonus for initiative but only 6 agi bonuse for movement. Unnatural speed is the ability that doubles your base agi bonus for your movement rate.

Hiyas!

Thanks!

I thought there were some special case rules in DW circling round Initiative & certain Traits/Talents... but now I can't seem to find 'em... enfadado.gif
