Hiyas!
I know you can't dodge or parry it's melee attacks, but
Can a Horde's ranged attacks be dodged?
Thanks!

From the Errata :
Generally, the ranged attacks of a Horde may not be Dodged—this represents the Horde’s sheer volume of firepower. At the GM’s discretion, he may choose to allow certain ranged attacks from a Horde to be Dodged as normal. For example, a Horde of Chaos Heretics may possess a single missile
launcher amongst their number. Since the entire horde is not firing missiles (they are instead firing autopistols), the missile launcher does not benefit from the Horde’s abilities regarding ranged attacks, and therefore receives no bonus damage and may be Dodged normally.
Hiyas!
Thanks for pointing me to the right direction!
I thought I'd seen that somewhere...

Also remember, Dodging is not simply limited to avoiding an incoming attack. You may dodge behind available cover or to the ground (with a -10 dodge test), you will still get hit by the hordes attack, as you cannot actually dodge it, but that plascrete wall or the -10 BS for being prone (if you hit the dirt before the roll) may end up saving your life.
For other neat tricks you can do with your skills check out the "expanded skills" section of the DH Inquisitor's Handbook. Which outlines a lot of (but not all possible) options the skills this FFG ruleset gives you. Remember, this is an RPG and you can do anything you can think of doing. In the case of something not already identified in the ruleset, its up to your GM to determine which skills it would fall under and how difficult said action should be.
Attacks from horde can't be dodge. But one.
If your PC fight a horde of heretics, xenos or anything else all using same weapons but as GM you decide that they got for example one heavy weapon, then the heavy weapon do not use horde rules. No bonus to damage and dodge allowed. But the use of the heavy weapon do not count as an attack from the horde.
Spotting that Meltagun amidst thiose 40 Traitor Guards might call for an Awareness check though.

For a melta gun yes but for those 3 little heretics one bracing a heavy stubber the second wearring ammo and a third screaming to move to get a line of sight, not really.
If you are a simulationist GM then you will ask for many rolls, for my parts I tend to avoid them to keep game and RP going. So any obvious treat in battle is spotted by my veteran SM. Because it is what they are survivor from countless battlefield. But for a matter of fact if the secret weapon from a horde is a vortex grenade than a Per roll is needed.
