Hi guys

So, I got it all. Now, how can I use all those deployment and specialist cards?
Is there some simple faq or whatever that explains what to use and when + when to switch cards etc.

This link here kinda addresses your inquiry, but if you ask me (and, indirectly, you did ) the re-working of the deployment decks that the expansions called for (both if playing race specific and mercenary modes) didn't happen, leaving something to be desired in the "complete" CtA decks that we have now (six decks of 12 cards each: 7 original; 4 for each of the Standard and Pennant decks from Bearded Brave and Horrific Horde, respectively; and 1 for each deck from Code of Chivalry).

Bearded Brave and Horrific Horde are vague about how to integrate the cards, but I believe the intent is to either simply add the cards to the formerly 7 card decks, or remove all of the human-only cards from the decks and play that way (this will give mostly 7 card decks, but I think one or two of the Goblin decks would have 8 cards). With Code of Chivalry, one could add that in as well, or remove all the mercenary cards and add them in, giving mostly 5 card decks.

Truly, any combination can work, and as you become familiar with the cards you can tailor the decks to best suit the outcomes you are looking for. I believe the official way to incorporate Specialist cards has not changed (each player selects two), but tinkering with those can be a way to reach desired outcomes as well.

Assuming the state of BL continues as it seems to be currently, and Richard Borg doesn't have any other outlet for releasing the scads of material his play group has, one of the first things I want to do is rework the CtA decks so they work as the original cards did, balance-wise, but more smoothly incorporate the expansion units.

that could be indeed very useful. to know what cards can be mixed, replaced etc. etc.

shame that we cant learn about new things added to BL system
