Apothecary's Enhance Healing and Critical Damage

By Reclusiarch, in Deathwatch Rules Questions

Hello everyone!

I'll get right to it; does the Apothecary's Special Ability Enchance Healing heal Critical Damage as well?

Normally, unless the Space Marine have Hardy or Autosanguine talent, a Apothecary can heal 2 Damage on a Critically Damaged character (the wounds are then treated as "treated" wounds, meaning the character will pretty much have low health during the rest of the mission, unless he spends Fate points). The Enchance Healing ability says that the Apothecary may restore 1d5 additional Wounds with any successful Medicae Test for First Aid. Does Critical Damage count as wounds, though?

Thanks in advance! :)

Well, it is definitely how I have been playing it, but if 1) you don't want it to, or 2) you don't think it works that way, then you would simply heal the 1d5 wounds on top of the critical damage (similar to the way Fate points for healing work). So say you were healing someone with 4 Critical damage: You would heal 2 Critical damage, and then they would gain 1d5 wounds (so they would have 2 Critical Damage but still have to take another 1d5 wounds before they started suffering critical damage again).
