Stupid NPC question is stupid

By TheFlatline, in WFRP Gamemasters

I have a vague memory of reading this once, but I"m unable to find it.

On NPC cards, there are numbers in parenthesis. Are those the stats for henchmen versions of the monsters?

As I said, stupid question is stupid.

Note sure what you mean, I don't see parentheses on cards - is there an example you can provide?

What I see are the stat # in diamond and sometimes the "little white box" # indicating fortune die on that stat.

Henchmen have the same stats except that their individual wound score is To of the base monster.

Not on cards, but in write ups sometimes the stats are collapsed along lines of Str 2 (3), To (3)1, Ag 3 (0).

This means, in this case, that Str is 2 and for damage add 2 (representing usual or natural weapons), that To is 3 and add 1 for total soak (armour/fur etc) and Agility is 3 and (in this case) add 0 for defence misfortune die on attacks (from armour, scales, size etc.).

This is explained at the start of the monster entry section in the core rule set.

Yeah that's what I'm talking about.

I appreciate the head's up. I'll look again. As I said, I'm pretty sure I'm just missing that part of the book.

Thank you.
