Good stuff! Once construction/work-all-the-time season is over I had planned on baking up a bunch of Followers like this. I love the tricks. Piss Off! Ha! Classy. Do you guys have any other followers you've built or just Sauche thus far?
After watching Your Highness I had a humorous hankerin' to build Courtney & Stephen the lizard.
This is the only one (though one of the group is a rat-catcher). The LF7 plugin looks so good though there might be a flood of cards coming. At least when we get to the Bretonnia-Empire war that (according to our Nemesis sheet) is starting after two sessions.
it's a shame the label 'obedience' is fixed on the liber fanatica animal companion tool. would be nice if you could use the tracker to represent 'wind' or other custom functions.
I think it precisely what is needed for this follower but feel your pain. Hope they'll make an update.
As out guest player is not joining our games anymore I wanted his character to follow the party as a NPC. I build a similar sheet for him as for Sauche but came into conclusion that it would cause only more hassle and decided to go the Arkham way and created a smaller "Ally card" with only one "power". In this way the players are reminded that he still is a part of their group but don't have to worry about him (or abuse him).
This made me think that should these kind of "ally cards" be socketed into Party sheet (any socket) and/or character sheet? I plan to introduce him as a "Party sheet only", possibly requiring a Tactic slot and a Leadership roll if Party tension increases to event space.
i did a similar thing with NPCs
see this thread javascript:void(0);/*1311116522545*/
i hadn't considered having it socket into the party sheet.
Your thread was actually a starting point for me. The characters from EfaE are easily converted as they are already given some info. However they were more situational and therefor would not require socketing.
Brilliant work! Write that rule up as a one-pager for Liber Fanatica #9 and do the examples.
BTW, I cannot help thinking of this person as the imitation of your art:
While looking for Arkham Horror for inspiration it suddenly occurred to me that the easiest way to introduce NPC followers are "allies". Kinda like Hans Scmidt above meets Allies from AH.
Just pick two skills he/she is trained at and give him/her a career bonus. He/she can now spend Assist manoeuvre and give the use of a career. Simple and efficient.
...Wait, so he adds the career ability aswell? That's pretty rockin'.
I just kill my players that have to drop out. It means I get to do a funeral scene.

Also, I offered the use of a long running NPC as a follower but nobody took him. Sad face.
Here's a few of Dankerd's ("Dangy") actions and stuff.
