A few psychic power questions

By platinumcorgi, in Deathwatch Rules Questions

1) Does blood lance allow a dodge roll? Most other ranged attack psychic powers specify that they can be dodged, however blood lance doesn't mention this. I'm assuming it can, but one of my players says it can't.

2) Are multiple "shadow in the warp" effect cumulative, up to the total possible -60 modifier?

For the first question - *points to the FAQ in the errata*

Not sure on the second one, sorry.

I would think, though I have no rules basis for this, that, since there is only one Shadow in the Warp, it shouldn't stack, since any beings emanating it are all emanating the same shadow. :P

Can you dodge psychic powers? I know some say you can and some are opposed, but what if the description says niether?

As per the errata's FAQ third question: if nothing is mentioned, it can be dodged.

Question: Can psychic powers be dodged?

Answer: Unless otherwise noted, psychic powers can be dodged like any other attack. At the GM’s discretion, certain psychic powers that have invisible effects or are otherwise too large to evade cannot be dodged.

Yeah I posted that question to FFG and they included the answer in the errata. However they did not respond to my call for clarification on whether there are other psy powers who can be sustained by a Free Action (Wings of Sanguinius was another of my queries). Grrrr!!! gui%C3%B1o.gif

Shadow in the Warp? I would assume you take the biggest. Iirc, in 40K a psy power can only be blocked from one source maximum also.
