We just finished these two scnearios last night:
When playing Karls & scents, I had escalating beastmen attacks on the PCs on the road (rather than at the Inn) and when they were making the delivery, I indicated that they were starting to sweat purple (this kept them from waiting forever). Rough Night at the Three Feathers just has so much fun stuff going on around the PCs that it was just a memorable event. It really goes to show that if you throw a couple extra goings-on into a scenario, you add loads of depth. The addition of Karls & Scents gave us the chance to have even more going on and a reason to be on the road.
Had one player complaining that he never felt healed up..of course he solves every problem with a swordpoint
In fact, the party was solving so many things with murder, that I finally changed their party sheet from Glory Hounds to gang of thugs.
Our wardancer player decided to change to priest of Ranald, and we're losing our swordmaster so hopefully our group will resort to less killing and more thought.
Anyways, I thought I'd share that good combo with you.
