does combat master negate the effects of double team as well?

My initial thought is no. The first +10 (for outnumbering the opponent) is negated. The extra +10 (or +20) of Double Team comes from experience working with others, knowing when to time your blows for maximum effect. I can easily see how someone could rule that it's negated, though.

I don't think the question has come up before. It would be a good question to ask FFG and get an official answer.

We actually discussed it here, there there was no concensus.

However, based on the desciption of Double Team, it specifically says that the bonus applies "when ganging up." The combat master talent says that attackers gain "no bonuses for outnumbering." Because you need to "gang up" (that is, outnumber your opponent) to use Doubke Team, and Combat Master states that attackers gain "no bonuses for outnumbering the character," I (that is, we - my gaming group) have ruled that Combat Master "tumps" Double Team.

Still, I would be curious to see FFG's rulng on this.

It does make double team rather rubish as many elite and master enemies have combat master it also nulifies the space wolf squad defense ability.

I tend to thing that it does negate Double Team.
