Anyone messed with TGS?

By player360161, in WFRP Gamemasters

I'll be starting a new WFRP3 group this week. I'm planning to gather the PCs at Ubersreik and mix a few adventures, including Horror at Hugedal & Noblesse Oblige, plus some ideas from Edge of Night & Enemy Within'. I would love to throw Gathering Storm in the mix, but I have a few problems with it. I love the storm rules and like the idea of the magical vortex, but I hate the linear plot and combat-oriented stuff. Does anyone messed with TGS to make it less linear and more investigation-oriented?

Thanks in advance,

I changed up the villains a bit and the murder mystery of Madriga. It's pretty easy to take the 3 "railroads" really just as "different amusement rides" and let the heroes encounter them as their choices direct. The mystery and NPC's in town do beg for some more attention.
