When are we gona get those "battlezones" and "dungeons" ?

By CoyDK, in WFRP Gamemasters

FFG, you make arwsome looking board games, when are you gona make modulare dungeons & terrain for WFRP and/or for the "40k RPs". I am thinking like the Scenarios & campains you could buy for D&D 3.5 where you got a battlemap (in crap paper but still!!)

Am I the only one who would feel the need?

why would you ever want something like that? this is not a table top game.

anyway if you really wanted that kind of thing just go to games workshop and pick up some stuff for wfb

Agreed with Anydragon, this is totally left field, what the what the?

The original Shadows Over Bogenhafen module came with a full-colour warehouse floorplan, which we still use on a regular basis. Something Rotten in Kislev included a forest glade floorplan for a pivotal encounter, also in full colour. Neither of them used gridlines. So I wouldn't say his suggestion is too outrageous, although v3 tends to use abstract location cards in place of floorplans.

At one time, GW even published entire books of floorplans and cardstock buildings for WFRP, including a Dungeons, Lairs, Caverns and Cityscape book. We still use floorplans from those sets all the time.

In some of my encounters I use various terrain pieces, bits and what not. While I like the 3E non-grid system, I still like the look of it, but not interested in hexes and what not.

I draw a floorplan on a white board and move the characters around, marking off close, medium, etc.

In fact, I try to uses minis instead of the cardboard units just to make it more visually interesting. I even built a herdstone for TGS.

So while I'm not a fan of map grids, its not an unusual requests. Wouldn't pay for it though.
