RoB Inquisitorial Assets question

By Lucius Valerius, in Deathwatch Rules Questions

One of the assets that intrigue me the most on ROB is the Arcane Weaponry that allow you to remove or add traits to weapons (like remove unwieldy from Power Fists IE). Now the problem is there is absolutely to guideline or anything that helps you figure how much that would costs in RP.

Has anyone figured a table of value for adding/removing traits ?

Double Req?

To me, Arcane Weaponry leaped out from the page as something open to ridiculous amounts of abuse. I'd charge people limbs for it, because it's clearly something that's very easy to break. I'd also want an explanation of 'how?' from players. How is your powerfist able to parry things? Why does your laspistol do Felling? Why does your heavy bolter have the razor-edge trait?!

It's similar to the trait that Forge Master gains, I understand. About the charged amount, I'd look into another weapon with comparatively similar characteristics and decide a requisition cost for it. Or, if you have access to Ascension's book, just look into the influence difficulties.

forge master is limited, the inqusital assets is not. be careful in allowing its use

Accurate krak missiles became a topic of heated debate. It easily open for abuse (storm las cannon?), so I would stick to the ones implicit from the master forger class like no recharge on a plasma gun.

I've gotten to use it once, with a Minotaur Champion. This was the final mission of the campaign, where we were sent to slay Elak Sarda and his lieutenants including several Traitor Marines. So he requested upgrades to his power fist. How I worked this out with the GM was that temporary specialist parts were placed in his power fist and it was given exceptional levels of maintenance which would be too resource and time consuming for normal missions. And that is how he could parry with a power fist.
