[Advanced Specialities] Watch-Captain

By TechVoid, in Deathwatch Rules Questions

Hello fellow Battle-Brothers,

maybe I did not fully understand the concept of an advanced speciality. But can someone explain me why the watch-captain has command, command +10 and command +20 on his table if he has command +20 as prerequisits?

I understand that an advanced speciality gives an additional table where you rmarine can choose from and buys the skill or talent where it is the cheapest but this watch captain example does not make sense for me.

In addition to that I wonder why someone should stick with a 'basic' speciality? I mean the advanced speciality gives a new skill / talent - table to pick from and an additional special ability. So why should I not do this?

Cheers,

TechVoid.

This is believed to be an error and will hopefully be corrected in the next errata update.

You pay a premium to enter the advanced specialties and not everyone's character concept needs the extras. It's really all a matter of personal taste.
