I wonder if it is feasible for a Techmarine to add his SB for the Servo-Arm to his total 'lifting capability' which is calculated by adding the Spacemarine SB+TB? If he have strong enough footing/balance, he should be able to take advantage of both his own body weight and the Servo-Arm?
In my example 10+10+8 would be 28 in lifting capability, what would he be able to lift with that?
I would say he can use either his own strength or his servo arm.
But regardless, the table about lifting limits doesn't go high enough for most marines in PA.
What do you think about using "feat of strength" for your servo arm?? Give it a drawback, like the Techmarine boost power to his servo arm but takes some fatigue or something. That seems cool to me.
Techmarines are my favorite speciality, they have so many different little tricks and stuff.
I assume the table on page 208, 7-7:Carrying, Lifting & Pushing extends above the values listed. Just a matter of some calculations.
Feat of Strength would give an extra 4SB to my character (from x2 to x3). Giving me 10+10+3=23 and then the question of my Exceptional Quality Servo-Arm with Strength 85!?
Is it reasonable it, my Servo-Arm, just hangs there when my Techmarine is using every fibre, sorry steel wire, in his body to lift the aircraft wreck that landed on top of my BattleBrother? I have to remove him before the whole thing goes up in flames and explodes...
My lifting capacity now with SB+TB+Feat of Strength is roughly 4500+2250+2250+2250=11 250 kg... I am still missing 8 750 kg, since the bloody thing weights 20 tonnes... BUT! With my 8SB (85) for my Servo-Arm, divided by 2 (giving me 4SB extra) I can lift another 10 000 kg! YEESSS! I made it!
Don't underestimate your Techmarine...

(BUT as Fate stepped in, my Strength 85 rounded up to 90, giving me an extra 900 kg pullpower...)
