Focus Power Tests

By qcipher, in Deathwatch Rules Questions

Seeing some conflicting instructions on these when activating a Psychic power. I get the Fettered, Unfettered, and Push, but how do those modify the actual Focus Power test which activates the power?

In one example, the player gets to add a +10 to the roll, in another he doesn't. And there's also a rule that says about the WP Bonus and a bonus based on the PR of the Psyker. If they get a bonus on PR is it the PR after determining if it's Fettered or Pushed? Is there an inherent bonus or penalty to the roll also depending on what level they try to activate it?

Any help would be great.

the PR bonuses use the modified PR depending on power level. There is a bonus on the focus test = to 5x teh modified PR

Fettered is half your PR, Unfettered if full PR, Push is PR + 3. This is for determining the effects of a manifested power.

Focus power, the roll to activate, is a WP test + up to 5x PR

Eratta cleared up the examples, and the Focus Power test is a Challenging (+0) Willpower check (I think originally they had fettered/unfettered/push modify the activation roll but this was removed).

OK thanks. I checked the Errata but i don't think i saw it. This is what I thought it was.

Thanks again.
