I have a strong doubts about two devices from RoB. I mean Breaching Augur and Bulkhead Shears. According to their stats listed in the Table 3-4 (page 147) they are even more powerfull than Chainfist. Do they truly inflict 4(!!!)d10 damage, without any Renown prerequisites or any other limitations? More than this, they can be used in one hand, and they are "tearing" weapons. How do you thik, is there any mistakes about these tools in RoB book?

I think that they were meant to be were to damage buildings and the like, Imperial fist style. I think as a caviot that they're meant to be extremely unweidly instead of just unwiedly. They also cost a fair bit to req.

What is a Breaching Augur? Shears sound like you might not add the Strength Bonus or not the full SB because the nature of the shear is that it always does about the same damage. That might be house rule to fix it, considering that they do 4d10.
Anyway, I suggest to use the Rules Question link below and ask if the weapon is intended to be so overpowered.
Alex
those things are TOOLs not weapons! As GM of 3 DW grps i simply banned those things as useable in combat and the are only available for missions where they might be necessary like borading a spacehulk or infiltation a hive etc....
A Beaching auger is one of those huge drills that some figures tote on the end of their arms.
Anyone who says strength doesn't count has clearly never tried drilling through anything stronger than sheet rock!
I removed the Str bonus for both of these weapons. As to their overpoweredness (is that a word?), if you take Str bonus away, they come in line with most 2-handed weapons. Figure 10-12 points of Str Bonus, and an average of 5.5 per d10, means the lack of Str bonus compensates 2d10 of the 4d10. It does have double the chance of proc'ing Righteous Fury though, but I still don't think they're that overpowerded.

Ave, Battle-Brothers!
I've just received an official answer for this question from FFG. Behold:
These weapons do not double the strength of the wielder (as a Chainfist does) and are thus less reliable than the Chainfist. A typical marine in power armour would have 2d10+20 damage (SB 4 x 2 + 20 for power armour, then doubled) and the breaching weapons are unwieldy, so you cannot parry with them, which you can do with a Chainfist. In addition, Bulkhead sheers do not have the Power Field quality and the Augur has a weight of 28! So there are enough differences between the old reliable Chainfist and the breaching equipment to make the Chainfist quite a good option!
I hope, it will help us all.

No no no. We're assuming a Strength value in the 40s range, I assume. The above calculation seems to be (4x2 (Unnat Str) +2 (PA))x2 (Chainfist) = 20
Totally wrong , sorry. Correct is: 4x3 (Unnat Str + Chainfist) +2 = 14.
Chainfist: 2d10+14 Pen 10 Power, Tearing, Makes one hand unusable otherwise.
Shears: 4d10+15 Pen 6 Tearing, Unwieldy
Whoever wrote that to you should re-read the rules for powerfists. I hope the RoB stats are not based on someone at FFG reading the core rules wrong. Which I at this point consider the most reasonable explanation. Too many guest writers who are less familiar with the new system than some of the hardcore players here perhaps?
Alex
It is possible... Any way, thanks everyone for help.
