Hi! I have a question:

Can a character have 0 STR at the moment he is declared as an attacker?

I've read the Rulebook lots of times and haven't found a restriction for that case, so I suppose it's possible. I find it useful since you can lower the defender's total STR to 0 as well and, although nobody wins the challenge, get advantage of abilities such as Deadly when it resolves.

yup.

Icons are the check to see if the can be declared in the challenge. STR is the check to see who wins the challenge.
