An thoughts on something like critical stress or fatigue and how it might work?
Critical fatigue & critical stress
Stress already escalates to insanity, so I'm not sure what you would do there.
Critical fatigue sounds like it would do something like make talents unavailable. I mean, you may be the best silver tongue in the province, but not while you're sucking wind you're not!
I'm thinking of stuff like "lingering stress or fatigue" that requires more than a couple lucky dice rolls to get rid of...

I was thinking of giving players the option to not pass out when they hit their Fatigue/Stress levels and instead take on 'critical' or 'lingering' Fatigue/Stress.
Basically they will retain 1 Fatigue/Stress until they can take a true break from adventurering. Spend some of that money on themselves and frivilous things.
How about :
Any Fatigue/Stress above Toughness/Wilpower can only be recovered after a good night's rest ?
That's a good idea. i just want something that lingers from social encounters when the trollslayer goes out and drives himself into 4's and 5's stress when he should just keep his mouth shut
