Just a quick and simple way to solve banes or chaos stars when you're out of inspiration :
Draw a condition card, give it to the player and find a nice explanation on how he earned it through his action.

This is one thing I do. As a GM I have around 5 condition cards (mainly negative) infront of me to begin with, which I then deal out if I'm lacking ideas.
Works very very well
When you're out of inspiration, you might use the standard official interpretation of Chaos Star : Chaos star count as BANE if there is no specific effect on the action card used.
In the same way, remind the standard official interpretation of Twintail Comet : Comet count as BOON OR SUCCESS, active player's choice, if there is no specific effect on the action card used, except in combat where it might draw a Critical Wound.
The hardback (I forget which one offhand, GM or Player) adds a range of additional effects for chaos stars, comets, banes and boons for additional possibilities in combat and social encounters.
I want my hardbaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaacks!!!
