I've been playing RPG's for 2 months with a group. I crashed into their campaign, and have tried to follow along, and it went fine. Although I've not understood all the quirks of that system yet (another system than Deathwatch).
Now I've gotten hold on the Deathwatch Rulebook and want to get some other famiy members into the RPG world (wife and kids
)
But I'm looking for someone who has the patience to teach me and get me started. From character creation, basic play, and lastly some GM tips, as I willbehosting this game with my family in the future.
I´m reading through the rulebook as of now (not going into details about skills and weapons). Hope to be ready by the weekend.
Will be using Skype, as it's faster for me to ask and get questions answered.
Questions that are lingering in the air:
When do we take skill tests. All the time?
How do we jump forward in time.
How does a battle work out.
....in short, I just need to get a feel for the game, how it plays, how much is planned in beforehand etc.
The plan:
First we go through character generation of a character of myself.
Then we play a very simple campaign with you as the GM
Then some tips for generatin a campaign and running it of my own.
I reckon it will last a couple of hours, maybe spread over 2 sessions or so? Depending on when we do it.
So anyone have any patience for this? Maybe some other newbies, who also would like to join in for this?
