Running With a Little Help From My Friends

By Emirikol, in WFRP Gamemasters

I'm running With a little help from my friends" by Carl Sargent. It's one of my favorite intro scenarios (and good at any edition). Any of you have any strange twists or add-on's that you've done with this classic?

Ran this today. Here are some notes (SPOILERS_:

  • 3 PC's: Initiate of Sigmar, Bounty Hunter from Liber Fanatica#7, Alphonse (Agent)
  • 4 Henchmen (Soldiers with leather armor)
  • Claudio Carbonetti: Soldier with 15 wounds, gave him
  • Paolo the Brute: Soldier with higher strength, gave him reckless cleave
  • Guiseppe the Tilean Manhound: Giant Wolf
  • Added: Claudio went to the basement and called a Gutter Runner to aid him (from a hole in the wall)
  • I had the PC's safehouse an old watchtower infested with friendly feral cats (which the Gutter Runner bombed with warpstone, making the PC's have to head to the roof to avoid the little zombie bastard cats).
  • I made the rotweiler next door to the kidnappers a "good friend" of the manhound, so it makes for a good distraction for the powerful dog.
  • Not really any other changes except that I set it in Altdorf
  • Finished in 3.25 hours even having taught one new player
  • Here's the scenario (from the 2e update): www.scribd.com/doc/15746506/With-A-Little-Help-From-My-Friends-updated-for-2nd-Ed-WFRP
